About Our Club:

North Jersey Rugby Football Club (aka NoJo) was established in 1995 through the merger of two proud and competitive sides: OMEX Shephards RFC and Bergen Bruisers RFC. This unification combined a shared passion for rugby, a strong player base, and a commitment to growing the game across Northern New Jersey.

Today, North Jersey Rugby competes in Division III Men’s Rugby, facing top competition throughout the tri-state area, including teams from New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. In addition to our senior side, we proudly field an Old Boys team, providing an opportunity for veteran players to stay involved in the sport and continue the club’s tradition of camaraderie and competition.

Our calendar is active year-round. We compete in both fall and spring 15s seasons, and during the summer, we participate in 7s tournaments across the region. This year-round structure allows players of all experience levels to develop their skills, stay competitive, and remain connected to the game.

Built on tradition, discipline, and brotherhood, North Jersey Rugby represents more than just competition. We are a community. From experienced players to those new to the sport, we offer an environment that emphasizes teamwork, growth, and respect for the game.

As we continue to grow, we remain committed to honoring the legacy of OMEX Shephards and Bergen Bruisers while pushing forward as a unified and competitive force in the region.
